Jaya
haha, Kay a bed of tarantulas might change my mind slightly regarding sliding down that slide.... sharks though? I can handle that.... do you touch them or are they caged???
Kay
Touch them ? Unless you want to lose an arm, I'm thinking that touch wasn't an option. (I didn't go down the slide, only Josiah, did) Perhaps, next year, when you go cruis'n with everyone, we can ask if you can swim the little fella's. Bob
Hi All, It truly was an awesome time to share with my wife our renewal of our vows with the loving and caring people who shared our trip. I felt a closeness with everyone as we all took off on this journey. During the trip we had some sun, some rain, some heat and some coolness, but our hearts seemed to chime in tune together as the glow of my wife's face really was the best moment of the trip for me. It was almost like an awakening for her and for us. She has been cheated out of many a trip and many a time where she was first and this time, it was all about her. This certainly made it all about us in the long run, as keeping her heart happy and healing only let me see her truly happy and shining, which only made me happy down through my soul. It was easy to let her be first after all, listen to her heart and truly want and feel her to be the special woman she is. I must say it was amazing to see the other couples as well grow and be in the moment on this most fun, yet serious cruise and adventure we all took part in. A new beginning someone said, and it really feels like it was in many ways. A beginning, but not an ending. For hard work must continue as we press on to make everyday a special day in each of our wives lives and in our lives together. A special thanks for Kathy and Joel for putting this all together and having the vision to guide us to this moment. The other couples along with the ladies on the trip made us all seem to be and feel like a close family whether it be eating dinner together, watching someone on stage, sharing a walk on the boat, sneaking into a paradise beach, watching sharks swim around swimmers coming out of a water ride or just soaking up the sun on a beach we all know could only be created by God. So many amazing moments and memories to keep and share. Mostly, I want to thank my beautiful wife, for taking this huge step in letting me into her heart a bit more and allowing her to see and feel my love for her and hopefully heal her heart a bit and prove to her that she is not just an amazing beautiful daughter of God, but a sweet, loving, caring person who needs and deserves to be treated like the special sweet woman she is by her husband. We have far to go in our journey together, but this trip certainly is one beautiful sweet memory for us to have and to hold and to see and feel as we strive to become one. I hope her heart healed a bit more and her trust and faith in me also lengthened a bit more. I would be a fool to think all in the past is fine and dandy now, all forgotten and put away. It is a new beginning, a point at which I saw her smile and felt her glow, a moment which showed me a view of the happy sweet woman she can be if I stay humble and continue to put her heart ahead of all in my life. I know many moments and feeling and memories my still trigger things to her and I only want her to know she is safe, loved and I am here, not going anywhere, and it is together that we will walk and face everything in our path, and when we do that together, along with God guiding us, nothing will stop us! Love to All! Eric, husband of Karen
KathyandJoel
Thank you, Bob. What a wonderful, heartfelt expression of your heart. Guys? You ask in the beginning, "Do my feelings count?" Yes, when they are mature feelings - feelings like Bob has expressed here. Those are the feelings that count. Kay has an opportunity to slowly continue to remove the self protections around her heart that were necessary in the past. Bob, as you stay consistant in this place and Kay is able to lower the gaurd more and more and respond warmly, openly and lovingly more and more, you two are going to sail right on in to that place of happiness - and one day, you will look up and say, "So THIS is an outrageously happy marriage! Awesome! We are never going back to those old bad days - this is GREAT!" Bob, stay in this place and Kay, slowly lower those self protections. Bob, if you continue forward and Kay, if you continue to open up as you feel safe, you will go all the way to that awesome place!

JoelandKathy
You asked. We answered. NORWEGIAN EPIC INSIDER Norwegian Cruise LineFreestyle Cruising®https://pull.xmr3.com/p/118310-727E/31227733/epic.html That's NORWEGIAN EPIC Check out your exclusive Norwegian Epic Insider with answers to this month's most frequently asked questions about our newest ship. Isn't it great to be in the know? We thought so. "What are all the things Norwegian Epic has to offer families?" Norwegian Epic will have the most connecting staterooms at sea, including a wide variety of accommodations that will fit any size family. Some even include bathtubs. We also have great Family Balcony Staterooms next to our expanded kids area, Recess. For the teens, there's Entourage offering a brand new place to hang with their friends. You'll also find an endless array of family entertainment, like Cirque Dreams® and Dinner, the Second City® comedy troupe, bowling, playing the two-story-high Wii wall and more. Plus, Blue Man Group is bringing their exhilarating fusion of comedy, theatrics, percussion and paint. And the only place at sea to see them is on Norwegian Epic. "Will we need to bring heavy jackets to wear in the Ice Bar?" The Ice Bar is one of only 14 in the world and the only true ice bar at sea. It's always a perfect 17 degrees fahrenheit, but don't worry, we'll supply the faux fur coats, gloves and hats. All you need to worry about is what type of vodka [edit]tail to enjoy in this frozen fantasyland where everything is made of ice. "How big is the Epic Plunge and how long will it take to ride it?" With a thrilling drop through a 200-ft tube, the Epic Plunge shoots the rider into the core of a bowl slide. The ride lasts about 25-30 seconds from top to bottom. And, that's just one of the three multi-story water slides of varying thrill factors at Norwegian Epic's Aqua Park. Imagine how many times you can ride it on a 7- or 14-day cruise. JoelandKathy
Septemer 18 - September 25, 2010! The Epic is a monster boat - the top of the line - the most magnificent boat of all the Norweigan Cruise Line, Carnival, Royal Carribean type cruise ships. Because of this, the cost during most weeks for the full one week cruise is $1500 - $3000 for inside cabins or balcony cabins, respectively. The LOWEST cost week of the entire year, is the week of Kathy's birthday - but it is during the school year. It is the week that includes September 22 in it of 2010. The cost.. drum roll... per person, is only $599 for interior and $899 for balcony. Yes, this has a built in challenge - it is at the beginning of the school year. Advantage? Sitting should be easier because kids are gone to school all day and whoever they stay with has that free time. Disadvantage? Can't easily make this a family vacation. On the first cruise, only John and Kim and us brought our offspring. They loved it, of course - but we thought, for this second cruise, why not get the biggest and baddest ship on the lowest priced week? Advantage? You can make a family vacation during the summer with the children and then have a romantic getaway that is by yourselves. YES - YOU CAN DEFINITELY bring your children on the cruise. The kids and teen activities will be AWESOME - just have to work it out with the school if you are not a homeschool family. For our group, Chris will be in college. We are not sure about where Jenifer will be next year and Josiah? Well, he is a miniature genius and if he wants to miss school for a week, he won't be messed up by that at all. We will let him decide if he wants to come or not. Gaining Hope - to cut down on your summer vacation with the children - taking them to Disney etcetera: you and any of our other couples who will be going on the cruise can come and stay at our home during your family vacation to Florida in the summertime! We live ten minutes from the ocean, have a pool and hot tub in our "back yard resort", trampoline, bicycles, and live about 70 minutes from Disney, Universal and Seaworld! The money you save on hotels can be applied toward your cruise! If someone comes on their summer vacation to our home in Palm Coast, realize that we might end up having an intensive that weekend or being away from home or whatever - so you may end up being "self-serve". Back to the cruise: WE RECOMMEND a layaway plan. You don't HAVE to pay anything until June and that is $500 per stateroom. (not $500 per couple) - however, you then have to pay the balance by the cruise date and probably have to have a second payment in between June and September. So, we recommend that you start putting like $120 - $170 per month aside now. On the other hand, someone could just put the whole cruise on a credit card and then pay it off at $170 per month. It would probably be better though (and Dave Ramsey would like us better!) if you were to do it on layaway. You could use debit card each month or send a check. If you use a debit card, we have to charge a little fee to cover the CC processing (like 3%). Total cruise costs? With the taxes, the interior ends up at around $690 per person. The balcony ends up at about $990 per person. (there are no regular just ocean view rooms. Every ocean view room has a balcony!) Then, when you disembark, there will be the normal per person tips - I think that is $10 per person, per day - so $140 for a couple at the end of the week to cover tips. If you are doing interior, and it will just be husband and wife, then it is a little less than $1400 plus tip. The balcony is a little less than $2000 plus tip. We have a year before the cruise. Divide the upfront cost of $1400 or $200 by twelve months if you are reading this now and start saving each month! That is about $115 per month for interior and a little less than $170 per month for the balcony. Before deciding, click on the links and check out this MAGNIFICENT cruise ship! The other advantage to this is that it is 15 months after the last cruise. We were personally feeling "pressed" to do another cruise exactly one year after the first one. 12 months goes by SO fast. We hope everyone can work it out to come! Yes, we will be renewing vows again! One other thing to keep in mind about the NCL cruises. There is a lot of free food that is included. Two main dining rooms and casual buffet eating.. but then the Norweigan Cruise has some private, RSVP, paid dinners in special restaurants that you can pay extra for. For example, they will have a "cook at your table" Japanese restaurant complete with the cooking show. There is also a dinner show that will probably have an extra fee. So you might want to come with a couple hundred extra dollars to take advantage of some special things like that! Wow! Three pools with slides, bowling, two story Wii game, so much on this boat. YES - having the children along will be great for those who can work it out. A third person in a stateroom is less cost - we need to get that from Carol. Children will LOVE this cruise. If we were to go on this ship in the summer though, the cost would be completely prohibitive... Each year, the "Intimate Moments with Joel and Kathy" cruise will be different. Different times of year, different styles - so there will be another cruise in the summer when kids are on vacation - but for a ship like this, we have to do the lowest cost week! There is no way that we would pay like $1500 or $3000 PP for a cruise.. (that is $3000 - $5000 for a couple!) that is just not "us" - but getting this ship for less than $2000 for a couple for a full week? and $1400 for interior room for a couple? That we can do! Kay
can come and stay at our home during your family vacation to Florida in the summertime! We live ten minutes from the ocean, have a pool and hot tub in our "back yard resort", trampoline, bicycles, and live about 70 minutes from Disney, Universal and Seaworld! Maybe, we should all just skip the Cruise and come to your house, instead! If someone comes on their summer vacation to our home in Palm Coast, realize that we might end up having an intensive that weekend or being away from home or whatever - so you may end up being "self-serve". Heck, you two can stay home and entertain, and Bob & I will run the Intensive. No Problem September ?? Hmmmmmmmm Do I dare dream ?
JoelandKathy
That is a cool idea! Both - hmm... Kathy has been wondering how we can have a simple "reunion" at our home - but most would have to stay at a hotel. We could handle a CROWD at our home but sleeping? I think we could only fit like four couples privately. We could "strew" kids all over the house on the floor and on couches though - so maybe a "reunion" at our house where most couples get a hotel room and all the kids crash at our place overnight.. we could handle like 30 kids probably! Yeah--- ya'll get to make love in your hotel rooms while we have a slumber party for the kids! Hmm.. what is wrong with this picture! Nothing.. it would be FUN! JoelandKathy
Oh.. we were on the "newleywed game" on the cruise! (10 day married couple, us at 25 years and a couple who was married for 54 years). It was a RIOT and we really put out the ENERGY and LAUGHS!.. but then we could not get a copy.. copyright laws. They replayed it in the rooms for two days... we were celebrities.. (my nickname was superman!) and we assumed we could buy a copy on the last day of the cruise. When we found out we could not, we were going to record it off of the TV but by that time, they were playing a different "show" on the repeat loop. Question.. what movie describes your sex life? Possible answers... superman, free willie, gone in sixty seconds, gone with the wind. The ladies were sent out for the question.. so I point at my shirt and announce... "Happy Wife - Happy Life.... Superman, of course!" When the ladies came back in, and Kathy is asked what the answer is, she ALSO points at my shirt and says "Happy Wife, Happy Life... Superman, of course!" The audience roared and I jumped up and did a jig... It was SO cool... and we were really throwing ourselves into it so we could get a copy to put on the website.. but no such thing.. so you just have to imagine it! JoelandKathy
Then they ask the women (with the men out of the room) - "how do you get his attention when you want to make love?" The ten day wife says "I cook for him!" Kathy says, "I undress!" the host says, "So, you get Naked?" Kathy says "yep... that's what I do!" The older lady says something.. don't recall. We come out and the young guy misses the answer.. I say, "Well either cute undies and bra or she just gets NAKED!!!..." and the audience roars and the host says, "Naked! That's right! She gets naked and that's all that Superman needs!" - (something to that effect) and I jump up and do a jig again! So that night and the next few days you here reverberating all over the cruise.. "Happy wife, Happy life!" and "Superman!" - it was great! And sent lots of people to the website. Spreading the message every way we can!
