quiverof4
We got a very hopeful update on Courtney yesterday! Several weeks ago, she left the facility in Utah, because they specialize in rehab, and the experts there, after observing her for a few weeks, did not believe she was a candidate for rehab. They just came to believe that the damage to her brain was too severe. She has been getting HBOT M-F here, physical therapy daily, occupational therapy daily, and speech therapy daily.Yesterday, Courtney's doctor brought in another neuro, one who has never seen Courtney. She looked over her records, then examined her, including observing Courtney's interactions with her mom. Courtney does make eye contact on command. She moves one leg on command. She smiles at appropriate times. It appears she says "hi" and "yeah" from time to time, again, at appropriate times. The new neuro reports that Coutney has made significant improvement and that she IS a candidate for rehab. She says it could take many months, even years, but believes there is hope that Courtney may walk and talk again. Is there a chance she will do those things, come back, but be disabled, to an extent? Yes, there is. But there is also a chance that she could fully recover. And even if she continues to have some levels of disabilities, this report is the best one yet! Thank you all for your continued prayers. Praise God for His mercy and loving kindness.
