God Save My Marriage

Flying Solo but the seat next to me is warm

Recommended Posts

Welcome, Charles. :)

---

It sounds to me like you are being a loving, caring, understanding listener for your wife. I think your wife is really beginning to "see" the difference between you and any other man on the planet who would remotely be of interest to her -- and realizes there IS no comparison. I think she feels confused because her emotions toward the men in her life are changing -- and the slant is toward you, the husband who hurt her so in the past.

Keep up the good work. Loving one's wife like Christ, and being with her in an understanding way -- wins!

Patience. Hold steady. God bless you!

 Ugh - this stinks.

But, remember how you said you lost your best friend? Well, sounds like you getting your best friend back. ;-)

She really must be having moments of safety with you to talk through this with you. And thats big Charles. I know my wife shares with me things she could not share with anyone else, including similar conversations. She has a code word, "her friend". When "her friend" is having boyfriend trouble, we are talking about her. We both know it, but I guess she feels more comfortable that way. I just stay within the Word of God and speak from my heart what God has taught me. It's all about the Love.

As hard as this is, you are bring her healing. And because you love her - that is the most important thing.

I'm glad you just tired from lack of sleep and not from the fight Charles, keep up the good fight! :)

I got woke up at 2am last night from S and we talked and I didn't get back to sleep until almost 4am and then up at 5:30am so I also am tired from lack of sleep but I would do it again and again to be able to bless my wife.... :)

Well, you're supposed to stay out of her head, but there's no law saying I have to! I think she can't help but fall in love with you. Maybe she's already in love with YOU and is trying not to be.

Anyway, go back to pushing through, OK?

GOD, the Creator of the whole earth, the All-powerful One, is your Help. Be blessed!

LOL boring is not a word I'd ever use to describe you, Charles, so I agree that it's a pretty major compliment. You're safe. And yeah, I get that safe sounds kinda boring, but you have to be safe before you can be anything else to her, so it's much more exciting than it sounds. Maybe we need to invent another word. ;)

omg - Charles - I can so relate to this. The "true colors" line is the classic. Heard that about 3 weeks ago. Also "why are you guys such jerks. Why can't you just "get it". Also, I guess my wife's "friend's boyfriend" (chuckle chuckle) has a porn issue.

Actually - this week we dropped the "friend" ruse. Which was okay.

I just wish I was

Smart enough before it happened.....

most likely you were smart enough, but didn't have the wisdom. You needed the experience to harness the smarts to be where you are now. I realize that is not very encouraging, but it is the truth. And God knows this. You did not have the teachings you needed to be at this level. If someone hands us a Bible with out the salvation and relationship with Christ, the words mean nothing. They are pigments of oil and water on cellulose, they will never speak to us they way they are meant to through His blood.

Interesting choice of words - passion? Passion comes from the Latin word passiō, which is representative of Christ dying on the Cross... suffering, submission, derivative of Latin passus, past participle of patī to suffer, submit;

Without her realizing it, she is referencing the very internal heart desire of a woman. So in essence, she realizes she needs a Christlike man.

I know someone who can handle the job... :)

Peace of our Lord and Savior be with you....
