JoelandKathy
Posted Today, 06:50 PMI wanted to post a praise report. Braceman has been doing so well lately. Our marriage is finally healing. Braceman doesn’t complain anymore. (God gave him a complainer to work with, I think to show him how annoying it is. He’s a good friend actually and has recently gone to the marriage intensive. Braceman just told me today how much he complains and how much it bothers him and I thought, hmmmm… I knew how that was. Emphasis on WAS) We just laid a beloved family pet (cat) to rest this week. He was 16 ½ years old and the most lovable un-cat like cat you will ever meet! I love cats, but he was like the best of both a cat and a dog. Dogs don’t purr and they need weekly baths, but they have the reputation of being more “loyal” than cats. Well, Squirt was all of that. He would greet anyone at the door and made all my cats and human friends more lovable. He was your best friend at the dinner table, rubbing against you and begging for human food. He would beg just as much for love and attention. It has been very, very, VERY hard on me. I am tearing up just writing about it. He was Braceman’s buddy too. He napped with Braceman when Braceman had the chance. I had to make the ultimate decision while Braceman was on a job out of town for a few days. It was horrible. I cried so hard when he went to sleep, I think all the cars driving by on the highway outside the vet clinic could hear me. The reason why I tell all this is that Braceman had been very compassionate through all this. He is learning that a man can’t tell a woman how to get over it and get better. That only makes it WORSE! He just holds me and lets me cry. I do believe I will see all my pets again one glorious day, along with all our loved ones. Braceman said about our pets, “Don’t you think that it would be such a waste for God to create something if He wasn’t going to recreate it?” That was very comforting to me. Though the glorious good news of the Bible is about God saving humans, God gives us insight and common sense to figure out a lot! Read the last verse in Jonah. God mentions the animals. Read Romans 8. He says “All creation (some translations read, “all creatures”) wait to see who God’s children really are. I think Braceman’s rhetorical question says it all; “Why would God create something he didn’t plan on recreating? We have had several opportunities to witness through this. Below is a short example of one today at Wal-mart. I was just in line today at Wal-mart and the lady behind me noticed I had 6 bags of cat litter. She needed to find a home for some kittens she was fostering. She said she had five kids and was going through a divorce and couldn’t keep the kittens. I shared my testimony with her (briefly… people were in line) and the website Godsavemymarriage with her and we exchanged phone numbers. I told her how happy our marriage was now and that it was quite the opposite pre-intensive. I told her this ministry is like no other. I know there is much more I could write, but I have so much work to do for school, but I wanted to take time for this since I have posted in a LONG time! Your intensive was over three years ago, I believe. Before Shekinah went to heaven if my memory serves correctly...? Blessings are all over the place! =================== Then BRACEMAN, the husband of SOS chimed in the next day! Here is his reply: Our marriage has improved so much and it is so nice to understand more how to understand sos and myself. This ministry is the best in reveaing your true selves and bring you to a turning point in your life.
