God Save My Marriage

We weren't on the call for long because we were on our make up date havin us some fun. FreeDog is back on track for now. Why he wants be stupid and feel sorry for himself when we're spending time together sometimes is beyond me, it seems to me like a TOTAL waste of time. Also, on Friday night our 22 year old son ended up accompanying us on our date...we need to find this good-looking, smart, funny guy a woman to love so he doesn't have to hang out with mom and dad on a Friday night. Any takers??

Last night just the two of us went to listen to some music. It was a lively crowd and we sat quietly in the background, however a photographer picked us out and identified us as "Being In Love" which was kind of cool. One of the other couples that was singled out was sitting at a table next to ours and we began talking to them. They are about our age, but they've only been dating for 7 months. The woman was flabbergasted when she discovered we've been married 25 years. She kept talking about how amazing that is! THAT is the kind of testimony I want to give the world.

This is AWESOME!!

Hey Crystal - would you please copy and paste this into your "praise report" topic in the praise report section?

Yes! I will be happy to claim it! I don't think we have a praise thread going yet, but I'll start one. I'm not afraid anymore that "praising will jynx it!" I'm praising GOD! I think FreeDog used to see my praise as praising him, FreeDog, and it would go to his head and he'd crash & burn. He won't do that now. He may slip, but he won't crash and burn. Lol!

The other day I started to tell him something about the contest...he absent mindedly interrupted suggesting that he should let up on the contest and I said, "No way!! I was going to say I'd like you to step it up a lot!" Thus the increase in his hugs and kisses. The 20/20/20/20 mean so much. Right now, he needs to emphasize the smiles, and he is. He did say that it was hard to count the smiles and I think the reason was that he was assuming he was smiling sometimes when he wasn't. If he doesn't know if he's smiling or not then he's probably NOT. He is purposefully smiling now and I LIKE IT!!

God gave me a day of rest yesterday...I was given a day off from work, because the work load was light and I wasn't needed, so I thought that I'd get a head start on getting the house and the cooking ready for Thanksgiving Dinner in our home today. Instead, I was struck with a bad 24 hour bug, so I couldn't cook or anything. Instead I rested. I must say that FreeDog was excellent about not making it all about him and being sicker and wearier than me and even babied me a little. Nice. Nice. Nice. Not his previous norm, but his NORM from now on. I had a good night's sleep I feel good, have lots of energy and now need to get things ready in the kitchen. Enjoy your Thanksgiving, Everyone!!!
