Your faith is being tested for sure.I am reading a devotion in the YouVersion Bible app, title A Jolt of Joy and the devotion yesterday was on rejoicing in the midst of the storm and one of the passages noted was from 1 Peter 4 below. I prayed that you and I both live a life worthy of being called a Christian and we continue to keep our love on, doing good. May God grant you peace and joy that passes all understanding. Brother you are not alone in this battle, the sovereign Lord is on your side, He is your advocate! Suffering for Being a Christian12 Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.13 But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. 14 If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. 15 If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler.16 However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name. 17 For it is time for judgment to begin with God’s household; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God? 18 And,“If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?”[a]19 So then, those who suffer according to God’s will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good. skiingco Posted August 12, 2016 Author Report Share Posted August 12, 2016 Truly interesting....saw my friends dad who has known me since 18yrs old, 1988...worked for them as demo hand while going to college....he divorced friend's mom and then was born again, Vietnam vet also....he talked to me about being in a trial and that GOD would reveal what I should be doing....I see your passage, and how amazing. I think the Holy Spirit intervened recently, very bizarre events. Paralegal and lawyer from my firm quit and after months of a friend telling me I should get a different lawyer, I jumped. I was going to lose at trial, I am sure. I didn't have a good chance at getting 50% custody nor fighting off Georgina's refusal to work. I don't believe GOD wanted me to give up on my kids, they are not in good standing...this has taken it's toll and I believe she has used them as pawns. They need help and I hopefully did not misread what happened, but this could very well have been an answer to my prayers of the Holy Spirit using circumstances in the natural to answer prayers.
